Seed to table inquiry

Description: This term we have been going to seed to table sessions where we either cooked or did gardening. And we did gardening so we had to make a slides about it and we had to take pictures  of our plants we planted. The thing we changed was no dirt and different amounts of soil for each little pot.

FeedBack/FeedForward: I think you did well at managing your time and took care of your plants so they would grow.  Next time I think that you guys could try and work more as team.

Evaluation: In seed to table it was easy to have a route of watering plants everyday.
But it was hard to collect all my group members for the facility.Next time I think I should put less water.


Description : In maths we have been working one mixels problem I made lots of number lines to help me work out the answers. Hannah and Phoebe helped me work out the problem and making the number lines.

Evaluation: I was really good at halving the numbers and making sure that the numbers went in the right place on the number line. Next time I could try different strategies to work out the answer.

Big idea: I learnt that maths doesn't just take like five minutes to figure out it can take longer according to how hard it is.

FeedBack/FeedForward: For feedback I like how you have showed how you worked it out. 
For FeedForward, maybe next time think of another strategy and a quicker one. Emma M

Little o's & away I go...

Description: Today we did some art where we had a circle and we had to try and think and make something out of them. We had to try and be creative and think of something that you could do with just a plain circle and try to make it into a master piece here is mine 😄 hope you like it :P

Evalution: It was easy to just draw and make some creative drawings.
It was hard to think of ideas. 

Big idea: I learnt that drawing isn't really as easy as it sounds it can be hard to think and get the thing you want.

Today I had to do five minutes of handwriting to make it so it is legible, accurate & fast. I am not the best at my handwriting so, I want to practice on it daily just like our daily, task. 



Today we made a remake of a complex sentence and turn it into our own. someone else wrote it but we had to use our own words instead of theirs. We have to try and create a sort of copy.

Today at maths me and Hannah did some independent work with fractions I made a question and then we had to try and figure it out. The question was Molly bought six cakes for her party she rake ate one half of the cake Mia ate another Half of the cake and Hannah ate one cake and Molly ate two cakes and one quarter of the cakes how much cake is left I hope you can try to figure it out it is really simple so yeah.

Evaluation: it was pretty confusing working on my maths but I knew I had to figure it out. It was fun to just have a go at trying it. 


Description: today I did some handwriting I set the timer to five minutes and then I started writing, I tried to make it fast legible and accurate. The approximite time was five minutes and I had about one minute and a half left.

Read this article about a super late library book and write a summary of it as if you were a news reporter. Then write a description and publish it on your blog and label it READING. Imagine if this was at our library, I bet Rebecca would be 😡

News report: we are here today to tell you about the late library book return! For what the librarian says  it was nearly 68 Years it was overdue for. She would have to pay a very huge fine.

Maths with Nic

Today at maths we had to make even shapes that four people could have on slice of so all of us tried to make the shapes even  we also made 1/5 and 1/5 and 1/10 into 200 grams so for one we put to fifties to make one hundred and then we had to try and make 200 With the other half the answer was 40 + 40 + 20 =100 so all together it equals two hundred :D

Seed to table

Today at seed to table we did some gardening and cooking, at gardening we planned what we are gonna do differently with planting seeds (etc.) Getting some seeds and drawing some plant pots and then we have a difference in ech plant pot. Also known as maybe getting no dirt for one and then they each have a different amount of soil in them. And at cooking we have done many things like cleaning,mashing,peeling,mixing,setting up tables all that sort of stuff. And then finally we had to get some beautiful flowers and put them in the vases. Our deserts were fiejoga muffins and pin rolls. For the lunch meal we have pumpkin soup. It was really fun :) thankyou to all the Teachers/Mothers who helped :D

Evaluation: I think I did well at, mashing the feijoa  mash and I think I could have done better peeling the feijoas.

Description: Today we did a handwriting sample where we got five minutes to make the writing neat and tidy and trying to get it in a fast period of time. We all chose a poem to do and we had to write the exact same thing even comers and full stops. My time was 3:18 My poem was very short so my next goal is to make it neater and do a longer one. Here is my writing. Also my goal is to not have as many mistakes as I did with this one :).

Today we did maths with Nic about cake fractions where you tried to find out how much it costed each cake costed $10 each and we had to work out what each piece costed and what is half and things

Buddy Art

Description: Every Tuesday we started working on our buddy art that you see today the Sarah platt art I think it is amazing that we all worked together using the amazing pictures. So we each got a small picture of what we had to draw and we had to try and make it the exact same so it looked just as awesome and it connected. So first we had to start with a draft to start us off and know what we are gonna do and what it looks Like. Me and my little buddy Emily she is 7 by the way.  To make our amazing picture We used vivid, colouring pencils and paint. Here Is the buddy art =P


Evaluation: It was easy to know what paint we were gonna use and being able to paint it trying to make it like the original. It was hard to make it fast because I don't want to be rushed just really trying to make it like the original when you are being rushed 

Feedback/FeedForward: I liked how you wanted to make it original. I wonder if this art is original? I liked how you were thinking of different techniques with your brush to make it look a bit different.
